What a session involves
Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the skin that attracts and holds water. When placed beneath the skin with a fine needle or cannula, a filler gel is designed to add volume, support structure and soften folds. The body gradually breaks it down over time.

We assess your face, discuss your goals and review your health history before agreeing a plan.

Your practitioner cleanses the area and places small amounts of filler with a fine needle or cannula.

Aftercare
Mild swelling or bruising may occur; we give you written aftercare advice to follow at home.

We review you after about two weeks, once the filler has settled, to check the result.

Is it right for you?
Dermal fillers are not suitable for everyone. At your consultation we check your health history, allergies, medicines and any previous treatments. We may advise against treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have active skin infection or certain health conditions in the area.

Questions
The honest answers
Hyaluronic acid fillers are gradually broken down by the body. Many people find the effect lasts between six and eighteen months, depending on the product, the area and individual metabolism.
Common areas include the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline and nasolabial folds. We assess each area at consultation and only recommend what suits your features and goals.
Some swelling, tenderness or bruising is common for a few days. Most people return to normal activities soon after, and we explain exactly what to avoid while the area settles.
