Body
HIFU,
for face and body.
HIFU, high-intensity focused ultrasound, is a non-surgical treatment for skin laxity on the face, neck and body, including the jawline, abdomen, arms and thighs. Every treatment starts with a consultation, where we assess your skin, discuss your goals and decide which areas and how many sessions may suit you.
Results vary from person to person.
How it works
What a session involves
HIFU delivers focused ultrasound energy into deeper layers of the skin, including the SMAS layer. This creates controlled points of heat designed to stimulate collagen and elastin. Any tightening tends to develop gradually over the following eight to twelve weeks as new collagen forms.
-
Consultation
We assess your skin laxity, review your health history and agree the areas to treat.
-
The session
A handpiece is passed over the skin; most people feel warmth and tingling for 30 to 90 minutes.
-
Aftercare
Mild redness or tightness may follow for a few hours; we provide simple aftercare advice.
-
Review
We review you after about three months, once collagen has had time to build.

Before you book
Is it right for you?
HIFU is not suitable for everyone. At consultation we review your health history, any implants or metal in the treatment area, skin conditions and medicines. We do not treat during pregnancy, and HIFU does not replace surgical lifting for more significant skin laxity.

Questions
The honest answers
On the face, we treat the jawline, cheeks, under the chin and neck. On the body, common areas include the abdomen, arms, thighs, hips, knees and buttocks.
Most people describe warmth and a tingling sensation as the energy is delivered. Comfort varies by area, and your practitioner will check in with you throughout the session.
Many people find changes last around twelve to eighteen months, depending on age, lifestyle and skin quality. Maintenance sessions may be discussed at your review.
